Will My Insurance Pay For Home Infusion?

Most health plans cover home infusion therapy. Our Insurance Specialists will verify your coverage and if necessary obtain prior authorization from your plan for these services.  AxelaCare Insurance Specialists will work closely with you and explain your benefits and coverage to you.

Does Medicare A/B Cover Home Infusion?

Medicare B benefits will cover some therapies in the home if specific criteria are met.  Our AxelaCare Insurance Specialists follow Medicare guidelines for Home Infusion coverage and work closely with you, your Physician and Medicare if your diagnosis meets Medicare criteria for infusion in the home. 

Will my Prescription Drug Plan pay for the therapy?

Many drug plans offer coverage for the drug only.  Supplies and Nursing would be billed separately.  If services are billed under your Medicare Part D prescription drug plan, you will be subject to your plans specific patients copay amounts. Our AxelaCare Insurance Specialists will work with you and discuss your Part D benefits.

What are the benefits of Home Infusion therapy?

Home Infusion is more cost-effective then an in-patient hospital stay.  Most patients like the convenience and comfort of having the  services provided in the home.

How will I get my medication?

You will receive your medication via home delivery, either by an AxelaCare Delivery Representative or by delivery by Federal Express.  An AxelaCare representative will call you before each delivery to let you know when and how you should expect your medication to arrive.
