unique challenges and specialized care of this chronic
medical condition are delivered in such a way that each

The Axelacare team is dedicated to deliver high quality
care and personalized service. The team consists of
pharmacists and nurses, patient care and benefits
coordinators. These professionals work directly with you
and your physician and/or Hemophilia Treatment Center
in coordinating the best possible solutions to meet your
individual needs.

with national network of nursing agencies with whom
we can coordinate each patient’s care.

patient’s area of need and allow the nursing and
pharmacy staff to focus on the areas that will
most improve the patient’s care.

The Reimbursement Services
- Personalized Referral Process for individual
Physicians, Hospitals, and Managed Care Plans.
- Reimbursement specialists will coordinate direct
billing to insurance companies and other payment
sources.
- We accept most of the major health insurance plans
as well as Pharmacy Benefit Management Plans (PBMs).
- We will initiate prior authorization and
precertifications and have a proven denial
prevention process.
- We will coordinate benefits between multiple payors
to minimize the patient out of pocket expense.
- We will provide the patient with documentation
that clearly outlines the patients expected out of
pocket expense for the therapy, supplies and nursing.
- Confirm benefits already applied to the lifetime
maximum under the patient’s insurance.
- Monitor lifetime maximums and work with patients
to keep them apprised of status.
Value Added Services
- Medic Alert Jewelry and annual re-enrollment.
- Assist with enrollment in manufacturer and
medication assurance programs.
- Assist with enrollment in Medicaid and other
government programs, if requested.
- Provide educational in-services to schools, day cares,
hospitals and others.
