Both Medicare and private health insurance plans pay for a large portion or sometimes even all costs associated with home infusion. Our Reimbursement Specialists verify the patient’s insurance, review benefits and coverage, and bill the insurance carrier. This service relieves the patient and family from the stress, time consuming and often difficult process of getting medical bills paid. We will assist you in investigating insurance coverage for home care and will explain the billing for our services.
The process for Insurance verification is simple:
- Receive referral from Physician, Patient or Payor
- An AxelaCare Reimbursement Specialist will collect:
- General Demographics
- Clinical Information
- Insurance Information
- Obtain Physician Rx
- An AxelaCare Reimbursement Specialist will then:
- Verify Insurance
- Determine Cost to Patient
- Receive Authorizations
- Obtain consent for Services
